However, I’m not for everyone.
My methods are pretty much the opposite of the generic *Be You* advice given to entrepreneurs who choose to build a business brand centered around them.

Because building a profitable biz takes more than just…

It’s simply not enough to just show up being you if…
you don’t know how to express yourself,
your ideas, or
the transformation your services/programs provide in a way that resonates with your audience and pulls them in as clients.
Being you will get you absolutely nowhere in business if you don’t know how to get others to actually listen (and buy) what you’re saying.

I’m a mom to 3 school-aged girls, a wife to 1, I fall somewhere on the spectrum of being religious and spiritual, sarcastic as hell AKA the Queen of witty one-liners, I love using double negatives (I ain’t got no time to care what others think about that either) and I like to think I’m super hilarious to boot although my humor is lost on most…oh well.
Regardless of the labels placed upon me, I know on a deep soul level that my mission, my gift, my superpower is to…

Still here? I guess I’ll let you all up in my business. Here are 11 random facts about me:
1. I grew up in Iowa (not on a farm though)
2. Leo Sun, Pisces Moon, Scorpio Rising (astrology translation…fearless, compassionate non-conformist!)
3. Former Government Tax Auditor for 10 years (emphasis on former, I hated it!) I would get physically sick and shed real tears when I gave small biz owners tax bills bigger than their annual revenue.
4. Gave birth to baby girl #1 in 2006 (Hey Jazzy)
5. Gave birth to baby girl #2 in 2008 (Hey LoLo)
6. Married the dad in 2010 (yep kids before marriage, goes to show life doesn’t always happen according to plan)
7. Gave birth to baby girl #3 in 2014 (Hey LeLe)
8. Retired from my good, cushy, well-paying Government job in February 2016 (free at last, free at last, thank God Almighty I’m free at last!)
9. I Live in Chicago (well the suburbs because I want my kids to play outside)
10. Believe in God (enough said)
11. Believe in the laws of the Universe (just can’t get with the unicorns, rainbows, & fairy dust talk)

And these are the 5 no-wiggle-room entrepreneurship & life principles I live by:
I. VIBE & VULNERABILITY OVER PSYCHOLOGY & PERSUASION
No need to study psychology to become a master of persuasion to get clients in the door. The easiest way to connect with & get hired by your peeps is to just be…no over the top, hypey, salesy persona needed. Not everybody will vibe with you and that’s ok.
II. A MAN ISN’T A FINANCIAL PLAN
…or your parents, or a job, or insert anything else that you’re banking on being there when you need money to pay your bills, feed your kids, or even when you just need to buy that must-have, one of a kind goes perfectly with your outfit pair of shoes.
III. IMPACT ME FIRST PHILOSOPHY
Before you can impact millions you must impact yourself. It’s okay if your why is to make sure you & your family’s needs and wants are met. It makes sense that you can’t help others until you first help yourself; that whole put your oxygen mask on first thing.
IV. AS WITHIN, SO WITHOUT
Creating change is an inside job. Your physical reality is a mirror of what’s going on inside of you. Which means doing the inner work is just as important as doing the outer work.
V. BE OPEN TO RECEIVE
Giving and receiving operate under the same universal law. If your giving and receiving aren’t in harmony, you may begin to feel resentful when you give or offer support to others. Being open to receive support isn’t an indication that you’re lacking in any way, it allows you to receive what you need so you can continue to be a beacon of light for others!
